《還珠格格》是不少人的回憶,也對趙薇等人演的「五阿哥」永琪、小燕子和爾康、紫薇的愛情所動,最後兩對在第二部時,開開心心的結婚。但到了第三部後,不僅多數角色換人演了,甚至有點打破原本人設。其中,永琪雖「不得已」娶了知畫,兩人還生了一子,但對小燕子卻似乎也已不那麼疼惜,甚至不小心害小燕子流產,而這些從一開頭就可見端倪。

小燕子雖嫁給永琪,但仍不被皇太后所喜愛,不過她力求表現,在聽到皇上交代令妃曬書的時候,小燕子趕忙搶下這份差事。想當然爾,包括永琪、爾康、紫薇、晴兒、蕭劍等人都來幫忙,誰知,當大家將書從藏書閣搬出來沒多久,天空雷聲轟轟作響,隨即便下起傾盆大雨。

突如其來的暴雨,讓大家手忙腳亂的將書又拿回屋內,而小燕子也不禁氣得指著天大罵:「今天是曬書日,不是淋書日。」然而此時,永琪過來對小燕子讓她不要再罵了,並表示,有這功夫怨天罵地,還不如趕緊將書搬進去,這些都是珍藏本,要是淋壞了可就麻煩了,之後還一個勁的催促小燕子。

相較之下,紫薇也想幫忙,卻馬上被爾康拉住,勸她不要淋雨也不要搬書之類的,要小心肚子孩子,趕快進屋,真的是位好丈夫。而晴兒雖然也有在幫忙搬書,但蕭劍深知穿著旗鞋走路不便,不僅在身邊護著,還幫忙撐著傘;唯獨小燕子一個人淋著雨捧著一大堆書,在因為腳滑摔倒後,才知道自己竟一個不小心把孩子給摔掉了。3對情侶的互動,也讓觀眾直呼永琪是個「渣男」。
